Graphic Design

Logo Design / Business Identity

We live in a time where the visual impact of a business/product/service is more important than ever. It’s a competitive world. We are constantly bombarded by visual stimuli and first impressions really do count.

I guarantee to provide you with an identity that you will be proud of. This will help you to grow your business with confidence, encourage customer loyalty and distinguish yourself from your competitors.

I use tried and tested methods of logo design at the conceptual level and use modern tools of the trade (Adobe Photoshop and Illustrator) to deliver the finished piece. Still, all my designs always start out with pen and paper!

Other Design

I provide a professional graphic design service for the majority of mediums. This includes web, CD (all formats), DVD, LP, stationery, business cards, posters, flyers, newsletters, annual reports, catalogues, shop signs, clothing and more.

My Process

As with web design, my approach to any two graphic design projects is never the same but does follow a general outline:

1. Learning

I will learn about your business/product/service and understand what approach is required for your project.

2. Proposal

Taking what I’ve learned about you, I will put together a proposal which will address your requirements. If you are happy to go with it, we will start working together.

3. Mockups

I will produce a set of PDF mockups in Adobe Photoshop and/or Illustrator based on what I have learned about your requirements. These mockups sometimes consist of hand drawn sketches (coffee stains included) or rough versions of your new logo put into context e.g. on a test area of my website.

4. Iteration

During this part of the project we will work together quite closely. I tend to fix the number of rounds of revisions I will carry out. During this step I will provide you with a mockup, you request changes, I provide a new mockup, you request more changes, etc. and so on until you are happy. Obviously this step needs to have limits on it! If the agreed number of rounds of revision come to an end, we can discuss and agree on doing some more until we get it right . Most clients do find the results they are looking for within the agreed number of rounds.

5. Finalise

Once you are happy with the final round of mockups, I will supply your art to you in .psd (Adobe Photoshop), .ai (Adobe Illustrator), .pdf and web-friendly .jpg, .png and .gif formats. Depending on your requirements, you may have arranged for me to setup the printing of your art onto business cards, stationery, shop signage, CD, DVD, etc. Otherwise, the supplying of the aforementioned files fulfills our contract.
